We are an accredited testing laboratory for all major LTE, CDMA, UMTS (WCDMA), and GSM certification schemes, and can conduct testing for all 4G, 3G, and 2G wireless products, including smartphones, feature phones, modules, IoT (M2M) devices, wireless routers, hotspots, tablets, laptops, infrastructure equipment, and more.
Online Access
4G/LTE testing services utilize Intertek’s Information and Communication Nexus (ICON) for online access. Upon ICON account creation and authentication, customers have Internet web-based access to test data and results for their projects.
LTE Testing Capabilities include:
Data Throughput: Measurement of the achieved data rates under typical network and radio conditions in a repeatable, lab-based environment. Our testing equipment includes R&S TS8980 LTE Protocol/Throughput and Spirent 8100-B200 Data/Mobility test systems.
Protocol Conformance: Measurement of the functionality of the wireless device under typical network and radio conditions in a repeatable, lab-based environment. Our testing equipment includes two R&S CMW500 Protocol and Anite 9000 Protocol test systems.
Radio Frequency (RF): Measurement of the transmitter and receiver performance under typical network and radio conditions in a repeatable, lab-based environment. Our testing equipment includes two R&S TS8980FTA RF test systems, two R&S TS8980FTA-2A RF test systems, and two environmental chambers.
Radio Resource Management (RRM): Measurement of the RRM are undertaken to ensure that the control ability of the phone is operating properly. Our testing equipment includes an R&S TS8980FTA-2A RRM test system and environmental chamber.
Voice over LTE (VoLTE): Measurement of the performance and quality of the voice service (control and media planes) being delivered as data flows within the LTE data bearer. Our testing equipment includes R&S TS8980 with VoLTE/Protocol and Spirent 8100-B200 Data/Mobility test systems.
A-GNSS Receiver Testing: The FCC requires wireless service providers to implement enhanced 911 services including the implementation of the assisted global navigation satellite system (A-GNSS). We provide testing support to evaluate wireless devices for global position system selection, location determination function/protocol, location services, and control plane fallback. Our testing equipment includes R&S TS8980 Protocol/TS-LBS and Spirent 8100-B200 (Data/Mobility) test systems.
Carrier Aggregation (CA): Measurement of the capability and performance of a wireless device to combine multiple carriers scattered around the LTE spectrum to achieve wider effective bandwidths up to 100 MHz. Our testing equipment includes R&S TS8980FTA-2A RF CA, R&S TS8980 Protocol CA, and R&S TS8991 OTA CA test systems as well as a fully anechoic chamber and environmental chamber.
Over-the-Air (OTA) Antenna Performance: Measurement of the radiated RF performance of the device’s multiple antennas under typical network and radio conditions in a repeatable, lab-based environment. Our testing equipment includes two R&S TS8991 OTA test systems and two fully anechoic chambers to perform CTIA approved total radiated power (TRP), total isotropic sensitivity (TIS), assisted global navigation satellite system (A-GNSS), and converged Wi-Fi testing.
Feature Testing: Measurement of the performance of the wireless device under typical network and radio conditions in a repeatable, lab-based environment. Our testing equipment includes eight R&S TS8980 family test systems, Anite 9000 and two Spirent 8100 family test systems.
Field Interoperability Testing (FIT): Tests the performance of wireless devices in live networks and in multiple locations to provide information as to how a wireless device behaves in real-life situations. Our field testing centers located in New Jersey, Texas, and California cover FIT testing in North America.
