Ensuring Safety in Sustainable Packaging: Evaluating Recycled Plastics for Food and Cosmetic Applications

As the trend towards using recycled materials in packaging continues to grow, it is crucial to understand the implications for safety, particularly in food and cosmetics applications. The purpose of our testing approach is to investigate how well recycled plastics perform in sustainable packaging for food and cosmetics. We check the decontamination efficiency of a recycling process and identify any unexpected substances (NIAS) that might be present in the recycled material. Using advanced techniques, we detect and measure leftover contaminants to ensure that the PCR material meets safety standards set in regulations and guidelines. Our findings emphasize the importance of strict quality control to make sure recycled plastics are clean and safe for use in everyday products.
