Expanding Scope of Sustainable Chemical Assurance from Soft Goods into Hard Goods with a Powerful Chemical Risk Assessment Tool

The upgraded ToxClear platform is now available to soft goods and hard goods stakeholders, helping them to detox supply chains through end-to-end Total Chemical Assurance to improve the safety, traceability and transparency of chemicals used in manufacturing processes – better, cleaner, and faster.

The platform offers a Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) approved cloud-based chemical management tool leveraging Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL) and wastewater testing data, as well as a product-agnostic chemical risk assessment module. This enables both soft goods and hard goods industry stakeholders to gain visibility into the chemicals used and manage them along every stage of their operations. Risk assessments can be conducted against hazardous chemical lists, such as PFAS (OECD), PFAS (EPA), and EU REACH Annex XVII, Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) and Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) Regulation.

Additionally, ToxClear’s intuitive UI/UX design allows stakeholders to easily manage and monitor the MRSL conformance performance and regulatory chemical risks with ease, while reducing the use of hazardous chemicals in the input chemicals and the production process, as well as lowering the risk of contamination in the final products.

The upgraded platform was unveiled during Intertek’s special virtual event titled ‘Everything you need to know about Sustainable Chemical Assurance’, attended by hundreds of consumer goods industry stakeholders, following a panel session where experienced chemical management practitioners from leading brands discussed challenges and shared best practices in sustainable chemical management.
